Esports continues to make advancements in the gaming industry, and now we are witnessing an entry with blockchain. There have been some deals that have been carried out successfully, and one of the most recent is with the multinational organization Team Secret partnering with the blockchain company Xai Foundation.
According to a press release, the brand will be joining the Xai Data Availability Committee (DAC) to help support the governance of the Xai ecosystem as it will help it promote games and support its growth. This is an incredible move for Xai especially, since this is their first time partnering with an esports brand. Team Secret on the other hand, is already into Web3 ventures, as it has its own platform “Secret Gemini Guild”; a Play-to-earn platform.

Oftentimes you find esports brands promoting blockchain projects by showcasing them on jerseys or helping create activation platforms; this time it is with being a part of the ecosystem, and Team Secret will be doing so with Offchain Labs, Ex Populus and the Xai DAC on the Xai Foundation to help govern the ecosystem.
The Xai Foundation is known for being behind the Xai blockchain: a platform that focuses on the creation of games built on Ethereum, and is working on bringing in more developers to support the platform through partnerships.
Team Secret’s role on the platform will be to evaluate and promote high quality games on the ecosystem. They will be focusing on games of esports potential, including AAA traditional games as well, making them the main deciding factor on which games make it onto the ecosystem.
